TAX OPTIMISATION FOR EXPATS

Beckham Law: pay 24% flat tax for 6 years

If you move to Spain for work or as a digital nomad, the Special Tax Regime for Inbound Workers (Régimen de Impatriados, popularly known as "Beckham Law") caps your Spanish income tax at 24% on Spain-sourced income up to 600.000€/year — for up to 6 years. Most expats don't know about it. We do.

Who qualifies

You haven't been Spanish tax-resident in the previous 5 years. You move because of an employment contract with a Spanish company, an executive transfer, a startup founder visa, or you're recognised as a digital nomad with a remote-work contract.

Standard Spanish tax is progressive — up to 47% over 300K€. Beckham caps you at 24% flat (up to 600K€) and 47% on the excess. On a 200K€ income, you save roughly 30K€/year. Over 6 years, that's a six-figure delta.
